He probably does. Stealth is not really his thing. He can sit right under the bird feeder in plain sight and look like: "Where are the birds? Why aren't they coming here? They can't see me, right?" Oliver (the grey cat) does that too, even more often. He's not very good at hiding either.
My cats used to hide in the grass and try to catch squirrels. Of course, they didn't realize that the grass was never that long, and the squirrels could see them perfectly well and knew to get in a tree. At least they had the sense not to climb up after and get stuck.
That's funny. Lucky squirrels that got away! I've got two squirrel hunters in my pack of garden gangsters. Felix and Tintin are really good at catching squirrels. I don't like it, but there's not much I can do about it. I run outside to try to scare away the poor squirrels everytime I see them though. That usually works to keep them alive.
